Vincent Giannetti is a Professor of Social and Behavioral Sciences in Pharmacy at the School of Pharmacy where he teaches courses in Professional Communications, Health Care Ethics,  Substance Abuse, Behavioral Health, and Psychiatry. In addition, Dr. Giannetti has taught Organizational Behavior and Health Care Systems in the School of Business Administration and Stress and Health in the Masters of Liberal Studies Program. He has offered numerous continuing education programs at Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh in addition to other organizations.

Dr. Giannetti has published articles concerning substance abuse, mental health, health care ethics and communication skills. He is the co-editor of two books regarding brief psychotherapy in the Applied Clinical Psychology Series published by Plenum Press. He also contributed chapters to these texts regarding brief approaches to substance abuse counseling and mental health policy and published three additional chapters in textbooks regarding health care ethics, medication problems among the elderly and contemporary workplace issues. Dr. Giannetti is a member of The Editorial Board of Health and Social Policy and The Journal of Evidence Based Social Work published by Hayworth Press in addition to The Editorial Board of Research in Social and Administrative Pharmacy published by Elsevier.  He is a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania and holds graduate degrees in the fields of psychology, public health, and social work.

Dr. Giannetti has maintained a practice as a psychologist providing assessment and counseling services as well as consultation to both human service agencies and corporations. He is a board member of the Biotechnology Medical Management Association.
