On February 8, 2009, the Mylan School of Pharmacy placed 2nd in the state of Pennsylvania against six other schools in the 3rd annual OTC (Over-The-Counter) Product Jeopardy competition. The team consisted of Aaron Bagnola, Bryan Kudlawiec and J.J. Leffler, who are all currently in their 5th year of pharmacy school. The competition was held in Harrisburg at the annual Pennsylvania Pharmacist Association meeting. The Jeopardy competition consisted of two rounds of questions pertaining to over-the-counter medications, dietary supplements, and various treatments. The competition was a very exciting event to watch, all the way down to the final, double-overtime question between The University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University, in which Duquesne fell 0.25 mg short of the correct answer. It was a wonderful time for all, and Duquesne proved their intellectual prowess and readiness as future pharmacists on a state level.
