Duquesne University Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) Chapter was recognized at the SNPhA 2009 National Convention for their participation in SNPhA’s Operation Immunization initiative. The chapter received a certificate for their completion of a project that helps raise the importance of receiving immunizations in an underserved Pittsburgh community. The recognized project consisted of assembling and distributing Halloween treat bags containing childhood immunization schedules and candy to children in an after school program in the Hill District of Pittsburgh. This is the second consecutive year the Duquesne University SNPhA Chapter has completed this project for SNPhA’s National Operation Immunization initiative.
